You
are never too old in order to learn something new...
Horseback riding
is a healthy pastime that you're never too old to learn.
We can offer you two weeks of training intensively to learn
Horseback Riding - Very private - Very quiet - On the countryside
of
Ireland.
We are a family run equestrian establishment,
consisting of a guesthouse accommodation with stable yard
adjacent.
Our horses are well trained and suited to the complete
beginner or the more adventurous rider.
Your day will start around 8 am,
you are treated to a full Irish breakfast, or continental
if you wish, afterwards
you and the stable hand / instructor will find a horse
suitable for you. (He will be yours for the entire holiday).
You will groom your horse and get to know him in the arenas
- indoor, for wet weather and outdoor for sunshine.
Lessons
are conducted in the morning on a one to one basis with
your instructor. You will be taught full care and control
of your horse and also basic stable management.
Our instructors are fully qualified with the BHS certificate.
In the
afternoon you are taken on an outdoor trail – possibly
in a small group, suited to your riding ability. We have
several trails to offer you, even a pub trail, for those
over 18 years.
Riding generally ends at 5.00 / 5.30pm each evening. Afterwards
guests are transferred to the 4-Star Villa Rose Hotel for
dinner.
On Saturdays we ride at the Atlantic Ocean over miles of
sandy beach and Sundays we ride until lunchtime then guests
are taken to local town for shopping, sightseeing etc.
You will learn at your own pace, you will not be asked
to do anything you’re not comfortable with but after
a horse riding holiday at Ardmourne House you will be amazed
at how much you will have achieved..
May, June, September and October at the moment are perfect
months for the complete beginner as they tend to be less
busy than July or August.
It
